Zumas Administration Was The Biggest Disaster In Sa: Maharaj

Former Presidential Spokesperson Mac Maharaj has labelled the Jacob Zuma administration as a disaster for the country. Maharaj served as Zumas spokesperson and special advisor between 2011 and 2015.

During the period, allegations of maladministration and corruption were levelled against Zuma.

Maharaj spoke to SABC News in an exclusive interview on Human Rights Day .

"I think that President Zuma has betrayed the course we fought for, I think his administration is one of the biggest disasters that the country went through and that it is still in the process of grappling on how to overcome those disasters. The extent in which the state was stripped of its capacity and I think that his breakaway does not bode well and does spell out the commitment that we made as the ANC."
