Zuma Optimistic Of A Win Against Iec In Elections Case
uMkhonto we Sizwe Party MK Party leader and former President Jacob Zuma says he remains hopeful of a win in the Electoral Court against the Independent Electoral Commission IEC regarding allegations of voter fraud in the 29 May general elections.
Zuma addressed thousands of party members and supporters at MK Partys first anniversary rally at Durbans Moses Mabhida stadium.
Last week, senior party leaders said that they would not back down on their belief that MK Party was robbed of a victory in the May polls and planned to pursue this through the courts next year.
"Let us unite so we can get overwhelming votes in the upcoming 2026 local government election. We need to reclaim our country and votes. I am optimistic that we have a strong case against those we are taking to court for Electoral Court. They rigged and took our votes. They distributed our votes amongst themselves. They will lose this case," says Zuma.
