Zimbabwe Looking At Polokwane For Kenya Clash

Zimbabwe could host Kenya at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane for their final home match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

The Warriors used the Orlando Stadium for their matchday 4 clash with Namibia, having also played at the same venue against the Brave Warriors in the reverse fixture four days earlier.

The Zimbabwe Football Association ZIFA wanted to return to the home of Orlando Pirates for the crunch Group J encounter with the Harambee Stars after pulling in a good crowd for the 3-1 win over their Southern African rivals on October 14.

However, Warriors head coach Michael Nees would prefer to use Polokwane Citys home ground which has a better playing surface, although ZIFA is still considering Johannesburg as an alternative option.

Nees side played out to a goalless draw with Kenya on matchday 1 and will be targeting all three points in the return leg which would secure their place at the 2025 AFCON finals in Morocco.
