You Can Now Watch Tiktok Videos Within Ayoba App

Ayoba app users can now sign into their TikTok accounts and watch TikTok videos within the app following a partnership announced on Tuesday 28 January.

Ayoba is an all-in-one super app available in 17 countries across Africa, including South Africa. Users can chat, call, follow hyper local content via channels and services, play games, and listen to music .

"We're thrilled to offer TikTok content within Ayoba, creating a seamless, all-in-one experience for our users to access trending content, express creativity, and stay connected," ayoba CEO Burak Akinci said.

With TikTok now integrated , Ayoba users can enjoy the power of global storytelling and creative expression - all within their favourite super app."

To access this new feature, users need to update their app to the latest version, after which they will see the TikTok button displayed prominently in the app.

The TikTok integration within Ayoba will be live on Android devices in all key territories, with iOS to follow. Users will simply tap on the TikTok tab in the Ayoba app's bottom navigation to start enjoying a world of trending content, the platform said.

The partnership is a response to the growing demand for short-form video content in Africa, where increasing smartphone penetration and digital adoption are fuelling new opportunities for creators and audiences.

The app had 35 million monthly active users across Africa as of December 2023, according to an MTN Group update in April last year.

This growth is attributed to the heightened retention rates and organic adoption, fuelled by an enhanced user experience in the communication suite and a robust content offering that includes music, channels, games and services, the Group said at the time.
