Yellow 2 Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Kzn

The South African Weather Service SAWS has issued a yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms and a 60 chance of showers in KwaZulu-Natal today.

Weather forecaster Wiseman Dlamini says motorists are advised to be extra cautious as traffic volumes increase due to the reopening of schools.

Dlamini elaborates on areas expected to be most affected by the wet weather conditions, saying: We are expecting a 60 chance of showers and thundershowers across the whole province of KwaZulu-Natal, and we also have a yellow level 2 warning of severe thunderstorms. Basically, the areas affected are the following district municipalities - Majuba District and some parts of Zululand and Umzinyathi. So, these areas will be affected today from this afternoon.
