Yaya Toure Admits Mikel Obi Was Robbed Of 2013 Caf African Player Of The Year

Former Ivory Coast midfielder, Yaya Toure, has admitted that ex-Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, should have won the 2013 CAF African Player of the Year.

Toure stated this while appearing as a guest of Mikel Obis podcast.

The Ivorian took home the prestigious honour that year, but feels Mikel was unfairly overlooked.

Mikel Obi himself has long maintained he was robbed of the 2013 award.

"Were you told you were going to win it before you came? Because I was told the same," Mikel Obi asked.
