Dr. Mantashe says this ordeal could have been prevented. The family was dependent on this gentleman to finish up this year and take care of his family in the coming future, hopefully to get employment and to undo the situation that is socio-economic in nature. It is very sad that his life was stopped short and what makes it even more sad is that this happened inside a place of learning, where it should have been a gun-free place.
