World number one Jannik Sinner is set to compete at the ATP tournament in Hamburg from May 18-24, following the end of his doping suspension, organisers confirmed on Tuesday.

For the first time in his career, Jannik Sinner will compete at the 2025 Hamburg Open, tournament organisers announced on social media.

The 23-year-old agreed to a three-month ban in February after accepting partial responsibility for team errors that led to him twice testing positive for traces of the banned anabolic steroid clostebol in March 2024.

The reigning US Open and Australian Open champions suspension ends on May 4, allowing him to return in time for the French Open, which runs from May 25 to June 8.

Before heading to Hamburg, Sinner will also play at the Italian Open in Rome from May 7-18.
