world cup and euros winner extends qatar stay
Spanish World Cup winner midfielder Javi Martinez is set to extend his stay in Qatar with Qatar SC despite his contract running out just last month. Martinez has been playing at the Qatari club since 2021, making 74 appearances and scoring 12 goals as he helped them reach the Amir Cup final last season. Ahead of his time in Qatar, Martinez had a distinguished career playing for Bayern Munich and Athletic Bilbao, winning two UEFA Champions Leagues and nine Bundesliga titles. He was also part of the Spain team that won the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 Euros, playing two games across both competitions. The 35-year-old will now remain for at least one further season in Qatar after the club extended his contract, which expired by the end of last June. Qatar SC finished eighth in the Qatar Stars League last season and they are to rebuild their squad to compete for the league title and get back to the AFC Champions League. Their last league title was in 2003. ????? ????? | ???????? ???? ???????? ??? ????? ??? ????? ???? ??? ?????? ???? ????? ??? ???? ?????? ??? ?? ????? ?? ???? ?????? ?????? ?????? ???? pic.twitter.com/krj1LLxU4z ????? ?????
