The major retailer has suspended deliveries to the Hout Bay area, following security risks faced by their drivers, Cape town Etc reports.
Woolworths has confirmed that the situation will be monitored and that they hope to be able to safely offer Dash deliveries to the area in the near future.
Checkers has allegedly also suspended delivery in Hout Bay for the time being.
An uber driver in the area also shared his concerns on Facebook, stating that driving in the area has resulted in him ending up in radical situations. He further stated that he now stops as reasonably close to his pick-up destination as possible and the rider is expected to meet him there.
