Deputies with the Broward Sheriff's Office are investigating after they said a woman was found dead following a reported fire at an Oakland Park home Tuesday morning.

Authorities said at around 1114 a.m., BSO dispatchers received a report of a deceased woman inside a residence near the 5400 block of Northwest First Avenue.
Broward Sheriff's Office district deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue responded to the scene and confirmed the woman was deceased.
Detectives said a preliminary investigation suggests a fire may have occurred inside.
