Win R40k In Marketing Opportunities By Collecting Tomsa Levies

The Tourism Business Council of South Africa TBCSA has introduced ways to encourage small businesses such as guesthouses and B B owners to be graded and contribute to the growth of South Africas tourism industry by becoming Tourism Marketing South Africa TOMSA levy contributors.

The TOMSA levy is the 1 charge tourists pay for the use of specific travel and tourism services in South Africa. Funding from the levyenables local travel and tourism businesses to invest in the industry and support the promotion of South Africa as a destination both locally and internationally.

A TBCSA spokesperson told Tourism Update that the organisation had launched its TOMSA levy collection campaign in conjunction with the Tourism Grading Council of South Africas campaign. Throughout February, the council will offer free grading to establishments that have not yet been graded or where grading has lapsed for over three years.

The initiative will enable all establishments to benefit from G20 visitors.
