Wilderness has unveiled the renovated Tubu Tree and Little Tubu camps in Botswanas Jao Reserve.
The redesign of Tubu tree stands as a testament to our passion a proud endeavour that embodies our vision for these camps. The new camps are wilderness sanctuaries that celebrate the untamed beauty of Hunda Island and the Deltas abundant biodiversity. The design, architecture and overall guest experience is truly rooted in sustainability and the deep respect we have for this pristine wilderness, said Cathy Kays , Co-owner of Jao Reserve.
Tubu Tree offers eight tented suites and a family unit all with expansive views of the floodplains. Recent upgrades include insulated panels replacing canvas walls and new saligna hardwood flooring for better insulation and comfort. The camp features a bar with panoramic views.
Connected by elevated boardwalks, Little Tubu is a smaller, more intimate camp with three tented suites nestled in the tree canopy. It offers private decks, outdoor showers and exclusive facilities providing a serene setting to observe nature.
Both camps only use solar power as Wilderness aims to reduce the environmental impact of its facilities.
