The Western Cape Department of Water and Sanitation says dam levels in the province are above 100 capacity.
The head of the provincial department of water and sanitation, Ntombizanele Bila-Mupariwa, says residents should still use water sparingly.
Bila-Mupariwa says the Theewaterskloof Dam, which is the largest in the province, is currently over 101 full.
She says the heavy rainfall during the winter months contributed to the high dam levels.
