We Want To Bring Back The Glory Days Of Calabar Rovers Technical Adviser Esu

The Technical Adviser of Cross River State owned football team, Rovers FC of Calabar, Elder Caleb Esu has disclosed that his major aim is to return the club to its glory days of the late 1980s and 1990s.

Esu also doubles as the assistant coach of Nigerias Under 20 team which won gold during the WAFU competition in Togo, qualifying the country for the African Nations Cup in Ivory Coast in April 2025.

Calabar Rovers FC, during its heydays produced key players for the national football team such as Uwem Ekarika, Finidi George, James Etokebe, Friday Ekpo and Etta Egbe, among others.

In an interview, Esu has boasted that following the away victory over Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC in Ilorin last week, Rovers FC will go on to spank Akpabio FC at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar, today.

Last week in Ilorin, Kwara State, I got my first away win. Rovers beat ABS of Ilorin 3-2. This win has moved us to the 3rd position.
