The Deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the Ogun 2023 governorship election, Adekunle Akinlade, has said the party is not in support of Ladi Adebutu's 2027 ambition.
Adebutu and Akinlade campaigned on a combined ticket in the March 18, 2023 election, but lost to the incumbent, APC's Dapo Abiodun.
DAILY POST reports that although Adebutu has not made his intention to recontest known to the public, the two political leaders have been torn apart over the next election.
Speaking to newsmen after the congress, Akinlade popularly called Triple A said there was a parallel congress on Saturday, insisting that it is a conscious and deliberate line of action to stop Adebutu 2027 ambition.
Akinlade maintained that Adebutu who hails from the same Ikenne Local Government as Governor Dapo Abiodun should not recontest in 2027.
