Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has expressed satisfaction following Atalantas goalless draw against Arsenal in their opening game of the UEFA Champions League, Soccernet.ng reports.
Lookman returned to Champions League action with Atalanta on Thursday, when they welcomed English Premiee League side Arsenal to the Gewiss Stadium.
On paper, Arsenal had the better squad, albeit they were without their enigmatic captain Martin Odegaard. The Gunners were the favourites going into the fuxture, but they failed to deliver the good.
Arsenal created some good chances in the first quarter of the fixture, but they tailed off, allowing Atalanta to grow into the game.
La Dea even had a great chance to score in the second half after they won a penalty. Unfortunately for them, Mateo Retegui spurned the opportunity.
