Wc Health Urges Public To Treat Healthcare Workers With Respect
The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness has urged the public to make safety a priority and to support healthcare workers, by reducing preventable emergencies during the busy festive season.
Spokesperson for the Department of Health and Wellness Dwayne Evans says the festive season is a time for celebration, but often results in preventable injuries, accidents, and tragedies.
"Emergency centres will be busier than usual, so please use them responsibly and treat healthcare staff with respect as they work tirelessly to assist those in need. Remember to stay safe on the roads, keep children supervised and continue taking your chronic medication even during the holidays. By making responsible choices we can prevent tragedies and ease the pressure on our healthcare workers ensuring a safer festive season for all."
