South Africa's Lloyd Harris closed out his opening round win at Wimbledon in emphatic style with a stunning match-point against American Alex Michelsen on Monday.
After dropping the opening two sets, Harris fought back to square the match at two sets apiece and force a decider.
It was a three hour and 30 minute action-packed match on Court 9 at the All England Club, but it was in the fifth set where the South African showed his resilience.
With a tiebreak in the fifth set, Harris held his nerve and was seen hurtling all over the court with the drawn-out rally lasting 18 shots. Finally a lunging forehand volley from Harris saw the 27-year-old throw his racquet in celebration and fell to the grass in front of amazed spectators.
