Cape Town - ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba says that if invited to join the Government of National Unity GNU, his party will negotiate in the best interests of South Africans.

This marks a shift from his previous stance, where he strongly opposed joining the GNU, arguing it would weaken the opposition and reduce government accountability.

Despite his earlier refusal to collaborate with the ANC, Mashaba has since softened his position, citing a more "humble" ANC.

ActionSA recently voted with the ANC to support the national budget, further signaling its changing stance.

"We are not going to work with people who are working against our country. People who are prepared to really go to the international world to go and tell them things are bad in this country with misinformation.
