'wake The F Up': Cape Town Man Arrested For Racist Rant On Social Media

A 50-year-old man was arrested in the Eastern Cape after a video of him making vulgar and derogatory remarks on black people that, in his views, is purportedly intent on harming white people began circulating on social media, reports Cape town Etc .

According to police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa, the Western Cape Commercial Crimes Unit launched the investigation after a complaint was laid.

The remarks in the video whose basis is not apparent, explicitly detail the type of harm that white people are set to suffer at the hands of black people, said Potelwa. He calls on white people to wake up from their slumber.

In the three-minute-thirty-second video, in which he rants about what he perceives as the appalling situation in South Africa, the perpetrator can be seen using an abundance of swear words, racial slurs and hate speech, as per News24 and IOL .
