W Cape Man Gets Life Imprisonment For Murdering Former Girlfriend

A Cape Town man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his former girlfriend and attempting to murder their daughter.

National Prosecuting Authority NPA regional spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila , says that Wayne Lawrence has been convicted of killing his former girlfriend, Angela Marinus, over seven years ago.

Ntabazilila says that the deceased and her daughter, who was 16 years old at the time, were sitting in their vehicle in front of their house when Lawrence opened fire on them.

Marinus was shot in the face and abdomen and was declared dead on the scene.

The teenage girl was shot in the foot.
