Virgin Launches Status Match

In the wake of British Airways abrupt overhaul of its loyalty programme , Virgin Atlantic has launched a limited status match offer for its loyalty programme, Flying Club.

The loyalty status match programme allows customers in the top tiers of loyalty programmes of airlines, including SAA, British Airways, Lufthansa, United Airlines, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, American Airlines and more, to receive the equivalent status in Flying Club.

Customers can either be matched to Flying Clubs Gold or Silver tier, however the offer has conditions:

• To becomeFlying Club Gold, customers need to have a future revenue or redemption flight booked with Virgin Atlantic or one of its codeshare partners in either Premium or Upper Class.
• Those matching Silver must have a future revenue or redemption flight booked with Virgin Atlantic or one of its codeshare partners in any cabin class.

Flying Club Silver members receive the following benefits:

• 30 bonus points on every flight
• Free seat selection ahead of the flight in economy class
• Extra hold baggage
• Premium check-in when flying in any cabin
