Victims Of Pienaar Tavern Mass Shooting Laid To Rest

Seven of the eight people who were gunned down at a tavern in Pienaar , east of Mbombela, Mpumalanga, have been buried in different areas.

Six people died on the scene while two others succumbed to gunshot wounds in hospital. The incident happened on Saturday last week. Two suspects have since been arrested following the incidents.

Funerals for the victims of the Pienaar shooting took place in private homes. Some of the families laid their loved ones to rest during the week due to security threats.

According to George Ndlovu, they laid the victim due to security threats.

The incident has sent shock waves throughout the area and surrounding villages.
