Vhavenda Heir Selection Flawed: Dodson

Princess Masindi Mphephus lawyer Allan Dodson has told the Polokwane High Court in Limpopo that there was non-compliance when Prince Toni Mphephu Ramabulana was identified to be heir to the Vhavenda throne.

Advocate Dodson is cross-examining the former Vhavenda King.

Dodson said Prince Ramabulana was ineligible to ascend the throne because his mother was not a Dzekiso wife.

A Dzekiso wife is a woman identified by the royal family to give birth to an heir.

The Prince responded that there was compliance with the customs and culture of the royal family.
