Van Dijk Wants Anfield To Be 'horrible' During Title Run-in
Virgil van Dijk has called on Liverpool 's players and fans to make Anfield a "horrible" place for opponents as they push for the Premier League title.
Liverpool sit 11 points clear at the top of the table after Sunday's 2-0 victory over champions Manchester City, with Arsenal in second place and holding a game in hand. Arne Slot's side are closing in on a record-equalling 20th league title, with seven of their remaining 11 fixtures to be played at Anfield.
Despite recent nervy performances, including a 2-1 win against Wolves, Van Dijk believes the fans can play a key role.
Anfield Advantage Crucial"There could be some anxious feelings kicking in, but I think it only helps us if we make Anfield horrible for the opponent," said the Liverpool captain.
"So let's make sure those seven home games are amazing, as loud as possible."
