Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has hailed the unity and mentality of the squad as the driving force behind their exceptional start to the season.
The Reds, under new manager Arne Slot, have won 18 of their 20 matches across all competitions and sit 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League table after a commanding 2-0 victory over Manchester City.
Van Dijk emphasized the players determination to support one another I think it was always going to be difficult to replace Jurgen for everything he did for us, as players and for the club, but he Slot has come in, done it his own way.
Slot, who took over after Jurgen Klopp's departure, has quickly adapted to his new role, bringing tactical precision and ensuring the players maintain their hunger for improvement.
While Liverpool are in a commanding position, Van Dijk urged focus and humility I want to be there at the end of the season, thats the aim, and in order to be there at the end of the season we have to focus on whats ahead of us and not thinking about whats there in January or February.
