Urban 20 Cycle To Advocate Development Issues In The G20: Morero

Johannesburg Mayor, Dada Morero says the 8th Urban 20 U20 Cycle is a platform to advocate urban development issues in the G20 and the United Nations UN.

The Cities of Johannesburg and Tshwane launched the event yesterday.

The global initiative is aimed at uniting major cities to shape discussions at the upcoming G20 Summit for Heads of State and Government, set for November in Johannesburg.

Morero says the launch also highlights the need to refurbish ailing infrastructure in cities.

He has also called for alternative ways to fund municipalities.
