Un-touched: New Dance Production Explores The Millennial Experience Ct

Cape Town audiences are in for a powerful and thought-provoking performance as Dance for All's latest production, Un-Touched , takes the stage at the Nasdak Rooftop Venue on 28 March 2025, Cape town Etc reports.
The production, funded by the National Arts Council, dives into the experiences of the millennial generation, reflecting on the global and local forces that have shaped them.
Presented under the newly launched Dance for All InSPIRAtions Dance and Performance Initiative , Un-Touched brings together choreography from an impressive lineup of South African dance talents, including the legendary Adele Blank, alongside Yaseen Manuel, Allison Hendricks, Mthetheleli Dlakavu, Thimna Thethani, Philasande Majikela, and Stacy Barrios. The production also features a live musical collaboration with musicians from the South African College of Music, with interludes by acclaimed composer and pianist Elton Lodewyk.
Hendricks, who is also Dance for All's CEO and Artistic Director, describes the production as a journey that captures 'the essence of the millennial generation's zeitgeist' through movement and music. One of the standout pieces, ADULTING , choreographed by Philasande Majikela, challenges traditional gender roles and explores the freedom of self-expression.
With its fusion of contemporary dance and live music, Un-Touched promises an emotional and visually striking experience, offering a fresh perspective on the resilience and creativity of today's younger generation.
