Un Warns Of Deteriorating Situation In Eastern Drc

The United Nations UN has again warned of a deteriorating security situation in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo DRC.

This comes after M23 rebels seized towns and are occupying new territories in North Kivu province.

Local leaders say the M23 rebels seized the eastern town of Minova this week.

The town is a main supply route for the provincial capital Goma as the DRC army reports fighting on all fronts.

The Tutsi-led rebel group has been renewing its insurgency in the countrys east since 2022.
