Ucl: Its Strange Rooney On Man Citys Decision On Kyle Walker

Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has labelled Manchester City's decision to let Kyle Walker leave the club in January as 'strange'.

Rooney spoke following Man Citys 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League playoff first leg tie on Tuesday.

Walker left Man City to join AC Milan on loan for the remainder of the season, having failed to play regularly for manager Pep Guardiola this season.

The right-back is expected to start in the first leg of AC Milan's Champions League play-off first leg tie against Feyenoord on Wednesday night.

However, Rooney believes City should have blocked Walker's exit from Etihad, adding that his loan move was odd.
