tyla says her biggest shows of 2024 were back home in south africa

Amapiano superstar Tyla had a phenomenal 2024, winning multiple accolades at the Grammy, BET and MTV Music Video Awards and performing her hits such as Water , Jump , Truth or Dare and Push 2 Start around the world.

However, she declares that her shows back home in South Africa were the biggest headlining shows she has ever had.

Tyla performed in Cape Town and Pretoria during her homecoming tour in December last year and January this year. Her last concert at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria was streamed live on Showmax .

Writing on X afterwards, she declared it, "My fav show yet." DStvs Mzansi Wethu channel also aired the concert in February.

Tylas biggest shows

In an interview with Billboard on Thursday 20 March, the pretty girl from Joburg said she found her shows in South Africa the most impactful.

I haven't really done much there since everything has happened. Those were the biggest headlining shows I've ever had, she said.

It was fun being able to have that much control over the stage, the dancing, the lighting, the song arrangements. It was really cool to create something from scratch and give home a whole show that I've never been able to give them.

New album

Home is indeed best - even for a mega artist who had more than 1.6 billion streams of her chart-topping, self-titled debut album last year.

Whats more, her local and global fans can expect a new album in 2025. I've changed a lot in a short amount of time because I was kind of forced to with how fast I had to adapt to everything, she told the publication.

I don't think it's going to be the same energy as the first album at all, especially with what I've started making. It's different, but also still Tyla.
