Tyla, Makhadzi, Tito And Huppe Celebrate Big Wins At The 2025 Trace Awards

South African musicians are proving to be unstoppable.

Four local artists were among other superstars who won big at the 3rd Trace Awards Summit, which was held at the Mora Resort in Zanzibar from February 24 -26.

The Trace Awards Festival, which was established in 2023, is a live awards ceremony and festival that celebrates the creativity, coolness and confidence of African and Afro-inspired music and culture around the world.

The global music platform and African music tastemaker focuses a global spotlight on musicians, creators, entrepreneurs and achievers from across Africa and the African diaspora.

At the awards, global sensation Tyla took the crown in the Best Female Artist of the Year category with her groundbreaking artistry and unique sound.
