Two Trucks Collide On Sir Lowry's Pass, Rescue Services Mobilised

Authorities are currently on the scene of an accident that two trucks on Sir Lowrys Pass at the horseshoe bend.

Reports have indicated that the collision involved a truck transporting livestock, which caused one of the vehicles to veer off the road and catch fire.

The City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Service personnel were dispatched to extinguish the fire.

In addition, animal welfare organisations have also started to capture livestock that has escaped and are attending to those reportedly injured during the incident.

Motorists have been advised to proceed cautiously as a stop-and-go operation is in place along the route.
