Two structures have been burnt down following a fire that ravaged the Modderfontein area in Rustenburg in the North West.
No injuries have been reported and firefighting operations are still underway.
Acting Rustenburg Local Municipality spokesperson Odirile Madiba says the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage and investigations are underway.
Madiba says, "The fire is under control but the magnitude of the wind might exacerbate. The fire department will continue to monitor the situation and the municipality will provide feedback. So far no injuries were reported and operations are still continuing. More details will be communicated throughout the course of the day.
