Two People Rescued From Alleged Kidnappers In Cape Town

The City of Cape Towns Metro Police says they have rescued two people from alleged armed kidnappers.

Metro police Spokesperson, Ruth Solomons, says one woman and three men were accosted by three armed suspects when they were about to enter a shop in Epping on the Cape Flats.

Solomons says two of the victims managed to escape by jumping out of the moving vehicle.

She says a member of the public flagged down metro police officers to report the incident, which led to the arrest of the suspects.

She says a member of the public flagged down officers on patrol at an intersection on Jakes Gerwel Drive and reported a kidnapping incident involving a white Toyota Avanza and a silver grey Hyundai i20.
