Western Cape traffic authorities say two people died and 20 others were injured after a truck transporting agricultural workers overturned in Wellington.
Spokesperson for the provincial Mobility Department Muneera Allie says the truck driver has been arrested.
She says the workers were traveling to a farm in a nearby area.
Provincial Agriculture Minister Ivan Meyer says farmers and producers who transport agri-workers must ensure the safety of their vehicles and the transportation of their workers.
He says these workers are the key to the Western Capes agricultural sector.
