Two alleged extortionists have been gunned down at Gaduka village outside Mthatha in the Eastern Cape. These two people were some of the most wanted extortionists in the area of Mthatha.

The National Intervention Unit (NIU) was following information that these two were allegedly collecting money from businesses in the rural areas of Gaduka village outside Mthatha.

"Yes, our members were following information that there were alleged extortionists that were collecting moneyon the arrival, the two suspects responded with fire and the shootout ensued all two of them died. Yes, two firearms were found in their possession, and an undisclosed amount of money was also found. We would like to warn all the wanted extortionists that their days are numbered," says General Phumzile Cetyana, OR Tambo district commissioner.
