The U20 is a global initiativ e uniting major cities to shape discussions at the G20 Summit for Heads of State and Government which is set to be held in Johannesburg in November.

The mayors of Tshwane and Johannesburg will Co-Chair the Urban 20 Cycle.

Tshwane Mayoral spokesperson Zintle Mahlati says, We are committed to ensuring that the U20 process engages the people it is meant to serve. This means creating spaces for public dialogue and community participation ensuring our residents have a voice in shaping urban policies. It also means fostering connections between local entrepreneurs and global investors creating pathways for businesses to grow.
