Truck Collision Into Church Street Bridge On N1 Results In Lane Closure

The collision has resulted in the closure of the N1 outbound at Woodstock, where the bridge is located. Locals have been advised to make use of alternative routes to leave the city, Cape town Etc reports.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, 11 October.

The collision reportedly occurred at the Lower Church Street bridge in the Woodstock area.

The City of Cape Town Traffic Services spokesperson confirmed that traffic would not be allowed to cross until the structural integrity of the bridge has been assessed.
