Trucha Escapes Unhurt After Angry Pitch Invasion
AFC Leopards are risking the wrath of the Football Kenya Federation FKF after unruly supporters confronted head coach Tomas Trucha following the 2-0 defeat to Ulinzi Stars on Sunday.
Trucha has come under increasing pressure from Ingwe fans, who issued him an ultimatum ahead of the clash at the Kinoru Stadium after picking up just 10 points from a possible 18 at the start of the new season.
Goals from Yakeen Mutheli and Boniface Muchiri condemned Truchas side to their third loss in seven games and supporters invaded the pitch after the final whistle to vent their frustration.
Video footage of the incident showed Trucha being shielded by security as he was escorted off the field amid chaotic scenes, the second of that nature in the space of just 24 hours.
Gor Mahia head coach Leonardo Neiva was left with a bloody face after being assaulted by fans in the wake of the 2-2 draw with Muranga Seal on Saturday.
