Tristan Stubbs And Faf Du Plessis Triumph Over Aiden Markram And David Miller In Ipl Showdown

While the Delhi Capitals DC held out for a one-wicket win over the Lucknow Super Giants LSG in their Indian Premier League IPL clash on Monday, there was a distinct South African flavour to the battle with four Proteas players involved.

Tristan Stubbs and Faf du Plessis playing for DC both made strong contributions with the bat as DSC won by one wicket with three balls remaining as they chased down an imposing victory total of 210.

Earlier, LSG got off to a good start as Aiden Markram opened the batting alongside Aussie Mitchell Marsh. Markram, however, was out after 15 from 13 balls as the pair put on 46 from 4.4 overs to open their account.

Marsh would go on to make 72 from 36 as DSG built a big total. Coming in at number five as a veteran of over 500 T20 matches, David Miller ended unbeaten with 27 from 19 as he helped his side to score north of 200.

Ultimately, the efforts of Markram and Miller would be in vain as over 400 runs were scored in a highly entertaining clash.
