Trial Hears How Former Vbs Chair Ran A Company Within The Bank

An anonymous witness has told a court in Polokwane that the former chairperson of the defunct VBS Bank board, Tshifhiwa Matodzi had established a company that operated within the bank using other people names.

This is according to a witness in the corruption trial of former Thulamela mayor, Avhashoni Tshifhango at the Polokwane Special Commercial Crimes Court in Limpopo.

The witness says the Folksburg Company was used to purchase two vehicles that were given to Tshifhango and Matodzi respectively.

The witness was testifying anonymously.

"Matodzi was the one who was controlling that company of Folksburg what I can say is that they were just using other people to do his job."
