The workers have been rescued and were transported to a hospital.
A trench collapsed in Gordon's Bay today, trapping construction workers who were installing a new rising pipeline, according to footage captured by Yaseen Gaffar, Cape {town} Etc reports.
Emergency services and first responders are currently on the scene at the corner of Broadway Boulevard and Broadlands Road in Strand, working urgently to free those trapped beneath the debris.
