Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Bologna defender, Riccardo Calafiori this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Premier League North London club are set to agree on a deal with Bologna where they will have to pay a transfer fee of around £42m to secure the signature of the 22-year-old.
The report added that the Gunners are ahead of Chelsea and Juventus in the race to sign the Italian.
Meanwhile, in another development, midfielder, Melanie Leupolz has departed Chelseas Women team after four trophy-laden seasons to join Spanish club Real Madrid.
Leupolz, 30, joined the Blues in March 2020 and established herself as a reliable presence in the Chelsea midfield.
