Trenitalia France resumed operations between Paris and Milan, via Turin, on April 1 after nearly two years suspension.

Services were suspended in August 2023 after a landslide in the French Alps caused damage on the route. The journey takes between six-and-a-half and seven hours, according to Timeout.com .

The rail operator is also launching a new service between Paris and Marseille from June 15. Four round trips will operate per day, taking three hours and 20 minutes.

China launches hotel train

A new tourist train, featuring hotel-like services, will connect scenic destinations in Henan from mid-April.

Developed by CRRC Sifang and China Railway Zhengzhou Group in Henan province, the train will connect destinations in the province, including Luoyang, Anyang and Sanmenxia.
