Traffic Picks Up On Major Roads As Holidaymakers Return To Gauteng
Traffic volumes have started to pick up on major roads as holidaymakers make their way back to Gauteng.
N1 Petroport was packed with buses, taxis, and cars as holidaymakers made a quick stop to refresh. Drivers and passengers say they are happy to be back and had a safe trip.
Most of them are coming from Limpopo province.
However, the southbound traffic has been flowing smoothly on the N1 between Polokwane and Kranskop in Limpopo. Some motorists say though theyve been experiencing congestion at the toll gates, theyre satisfied with the traffic flow.
Authorities say that over 1 700 vehicles passed through the busiest tollgates, Nyl Plaza and Kraanskop between midday and afternoon.
