Traditional Leaders Working To Support Schools: Inkosi Zondi
Inkosi Khethokuhle Zondi of the KwaMpumuza Transitional Council in KwaZulu-Natal says traditional leaders are working to support schools and fight against social ills in the area.
He was speaking at an awards ceremony to recognise the academic achievements of the areas top matriculants of 2024 .
Deputy President Paul Mashatile was also in attendance.
Inkosi Zondi says co-operation is needed from parents, educators and other education stakeholders.
"Some schools have social ills such as drug abuse, as the traditional leadership we work closely with schools. We help learners who want to further their studies. We also support learners who have failed. As kwaMpumuza residents, we believe that more needs to be done to help education."
