The trial of three men accused of sexual exploitation and sexual grooming of minors is today expected to start in the High Court in Polokwane, Limpopo.
The accused, including the father of the children, were arrested in connection with the sexual violation of two minor girls.
In order to avoid further victimisation of the minor children, the names of the accused have been concealed.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Mashudu Malabi- Dzhangi says, "The children were raped from 2022 to 2023 at the age of nine and 11. The incidents were happening in one of the farms in Tzaneen. The minor has testified that their father raped them and also sold them to his friends."
Meanwhile, in a similar case that happened in July, a man was handed life imprisonment for raping his 11-year-old niece by the Tzaneen Regional Court.
