Three Arrested For Kidnapping Of 9-year-old East London Learner

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of nine-year-old East London learner, Emma Fatima, who was abducted outside her school, in East London, Eastern Cape, a week ago.

Fatima has been reunited with her family at Buffalo Flats.

The Grade 5 learner was allegedly kidnapped by two unknown men who were driving a silver-grey sedan last week Tuesday.

Provincial Hawks Spokesperson, Ndiphiwe Hlakuvana says the girl was allegedly dropped off near Nyibiba police station in Mdantsane by unknown people.

The Hawks can confirm that the 9-year-old has been released, and she was released in the early hours. There is an arrest that we have effected. Three suspects have been arrested by the Hawks, and they are due to appear today. The victim is unharmed and has been reunited with the family, she has been taken for medical treatment Hlakuvana says.
